Band Instrument Rentals

Why rent your instrument with JAMS?

  • We work closely with schools in the San Ramon Valley, Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, and Castro Valley School Districts. All of our instruments are band teacher approved and are perfect choices for students in elementary, middle, and high school.

  • Our optional “No Hassle Damage Coverage” covers any accidental damage that occurs to the instrument while in your possession, for just an additional $6 per month. That means that we cover any accidental drops, hits, cracks, dents, or even the instrument being run over by a car (yes, we’ve seen that before!). When paying for this coverage, as long as you can return the instrument and the case to us, we will repair or replace it at no additional charge to you. This coverage does not cover intentional damage (i.e., sword-fighting with clarinets, carving your name into your trumpet, throwing your instrument down a flight of stairs, or neglecting to clean/maintain your instrument, etc.), and also does not cover lost or stolen instruments.

More on our rental program…

  • *We have incentives at the four (4) and ten (10) month mark for purchase of another instrument in the same family of instruments. At four months, we will apply a 10% discount off of a new instrument, and at ten months, we apply a 20% discount off a new instrument.

  • There is no minimum rental period, which means that you can return at anytime with no penalties. Rentals are not pro-rated or refundable.

  • “No Hassle Damage Coverage” - covers accidental damage and normal wear and tear. It does not include dents, bent keys, or other damages that may occur through misuse or neglect of an instrument (e.g. throwing the instrument, carving your name into it, or hitting your sibling with it, intentionally neglecting the care of it, etc.).

  • To rent an instrument, we will need a form of ID (preferably a drivers’ license) with correct current address and two (2) credit cards on file. The account holder must be at least 18 years of age and hold a current drivers’ license.
