Michael Brandt

Michael Brandt has been playing and teaching drums professionally since 2005. He is a California native but been working out of Nashville for the past eight years. Michael earned his degree in Percussion Performance and Music Business from the Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles. Over the last decade Michael has toured extensively the country with multiple bands and artists ranging in genre from country to pop to progressive metal.
He has also been active in the Nashville recording studio community and currently operates his own home studio for a wide range of artists. Michael has a passion for music and drumming which comes through in his approach to education. Michael is skilled in content creation, sight reading and charting music, and music composition. He is well versed in drum notation/transcription for the working musician and has a fundamental understanding of what it means to be a working musician.
With the knowledge and skills Michael has acquired over the last two decades, he hopes to empower and inspire his students on their own musical journeys.
John Honea
Drums
Available Monday and Friday
John Honea, the bass guitarist for local metal band Titan Rage, is a multi-instrumental veteran of the Bay Area music scene, as well as the United States Marine Corps. He has experience in marching band percussion as well as drum kit. John is excited to use his knowledge and experience to improve your skill and technique, and teach drums at JAMS Music!
